Long story short

My name is Pear. I’m Thai. I live in a small town close to Cleveland, OH with my husband, my dog named Toffee, and 3 Guinea pigs - Brad, Sylvester, Ludwig. I’m a brand/graphic designer currently working full-time at Benchling and doing some freelance work here and there. I specialize in brand/graphic design and illustration. I’m passionate about craft, balancing art and functionality, consistency, design exploration, and inclusivity.

The long story

My name is Pear. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand by my wonderful, supportive and loving parents. I have an older brother. My whole family lives in Thailand. After I graduated with an industrial design degree in Bangkok, I worked at an advertising agency there. I came to the United States (San Francisco to be specific) to pursue a master of fine arts degree. I then was fortunate enough to get to work at a couple of design studios in SF before I entered the tech industry helping companies on their creative side of brand design to create, evolve and maintain their brands in wide range of channels from social media posts, illustrations & iconography, events to billboard designs. I’m a quiet person, an introvert, a processor, an over thinker, an anxious person, a planner, and I’m better expressing my thoughts via writing than speaking. I’m a big believer in remote and async work. I’m passionate about craft, balancing art and functionality, consistency, design exploration, inclusivity. I recharge by being in a quiet place, being with beloved family and close friends, painting, walking my dog, and eating good food.
